What's the world? Weekend #51

It's time for What's the Word? Weekend number fifty-one!  :)

I know it's been a long time since I updated! Sorry about that, I was just so excited about getting a publishing offer that I wanted that to be my top post for as long as possible, haha! ;)
So let's take a look at this weekend's news:

The Bad News:
I received one or two rejections from agents that I queried a while ago (and written off as Closed/No Response, so I didn't let it bother me).

The Good News:
I know which publisher I'm going to sign with, and I'm super excited about it! I can't say who just yet (because I haven't officially signed the contract yet), but I can't wait to share official news with you all soon! :D

In other news:
I joined wattpad! For those of you who don't know what wattpad.com is, it's a website where writers of all levels and readers of all levels share/read stories of all genres. Whether you're a reader or a writer (or both), it's totally free to create a wattpad account (though you don't have to create an account in order to read stories)!
I thought it'd be a good idea to post up some of my older work to share my writing style with (hopefully) future readers of my published work! I've been on for almost two months now, and I absolutely love it! Not only can you meet other amazing writers and readers from all over the world, but you also get a chance to read other interesting stories and gain (hopefully constructive) criticism on your own work. I can't figure out how to add the wattpad button to my blog's homepage for some reason, so here is the link to my wattpad page (JAYA1014). I would love for any or all of you to check out some of my stories! I think my writing has grown since I wrote these, but I think the stories I have up give a general idea of my writing style. :)

Well, that's all for this weekend folks! Until next time! :)

This is my year, this is my time, this is my now.

P.S. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU WHO ARE DOING NANOWRIMO 2014! I didn't have time to do it this year, but I'm hoping to participate one of these years! FINISH STRONG! :D
