Let's take a look at this week's question:

QUESTION: Do you like fantasy or realistic books?

ANSWER: I honestly like both (reading and writing) fantasy and realistic books. I love being able to escape to another world / a new world while reading fatnasy; but I also love that I can connect my own personal experiences to plots of realistic books (depending on the story of course).

A happy medium that I often love to read and write about are books that have fantasy elements in them, but are set in the real world. That way I can be transported to a new world and make connections to my own world ... if that makes sense.

Well, that's all for this Friday, folks! Until next time! :D

What's The Word? Weekend #54

It's time for What's the Word? Weekend number fifty-four!  :)

So let's take a look at this weekend's news:

The Bad News:
No bad news to report this weekend. :)

The Good News:
This week my editors started going over the Roses Are Red manuscript! YAY! :D
(See more about that in the "In other news" section)

In other news:
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!!! <3
Whether you're single or taken, I hope you had a fabulous day (technically it's already February 15th where I am...but it's still Valentine's Day in other parts of the world)! My mom sent me chocolate-covered strawberries (I LOVE STRAWBERRIES...and chocolate just makes them that much more amazing), which is creepy because I was actually just thinking about them the other day (because I saw chocolate-covered strawberries in my dining hall, but my hands were too full for me to carry any back to my room so I sadly didn't get some). It's scary how often my mother and I read each others' minds (though in this case, it was a good thing, haha)!

As if it couldn't get any better after getting the strawberries, my editor also sent me a gift on Saturday: she sent my Roses Are Red manuscript, with the first two chapters ready to be edited! Unfortunately I can't start editing until Monday, because I have two exams Monday morning that I'm studying for, but I'm so excited that it's finally happening! :D :D :D

Well, that's all for this weekend folks! Until next time! :)
