Tuney Tuesday #41: When I Grow Up (The PCD)

It's time for Tuney Tuesday number  forty-one!!!! :)



Here are the rules:
Tuney Tuesdays is a weekly meme that I do. It's really easy! Just:

• Once a week, on Tuesday, choose a song that you might be really into that particular week.
• Include a video/cover art for that single if there is one (or the button for Tuney Tuesdays that Eileen over at ***Singing and Reading in the Rain*** made.) 
• Include the lyrics
• Write what you like about it in a review. Or write a few sentences about how it inspires you. Or how it relates to a book that you've been reading.
• If you don't want to do your own song, you can use the song that I've done for this week.

The song I chose to do this week is When I Grow Up by The Pussycat Dolls. This is one of my favorite songs. I think When I Grow Up is a cute song in the sense that it kind of plays off the idea that many young girls have about being famous one day. I really loved PCD--they were such a fun group, and I love their motto of being "Sassy but Classy." They were also the only all girl group that really existed post-Spice Girls when I was younger. Sure, they may have dressed and danceed more on the PG13 side, but I think that as women they made good role models for older teenage girls in how they acted off stage (I don't know them personally, but I've seen a lot of their interviews and when I was a teenager I thought that some of them were great to look up to). I love The Pussycat Dolls, and I wish that they didn't split up (or get swapped out for new girls or whatever is happened/is happening with them). Anyway, I just thought that this week I'd do more of a fun song that has been a favorite of mine for years.
