It's time for Tuney Tuesday number forty-three!!!! :)
Here are the rules:
Tuney Tuesdays is a weekly meme that I do. It's really easy! Just:
- Once a week, on Tuesday, choose a song that you might be really into that particular week.
- Include a video/cover art for that single if there is one (or the button for Tuney Tuesdays that Eileen over at ***Singing and Reading in the Rain*** made.)
- Include the lyrics
- Write what you like about it in a review. Or write a few sentences about how it inspires you. Or how it relates to a book that you've been reading.
- If you don't want to do your own song, you can use the song that I've done for this week.
The song I chose to do this week is Not Your Birthday by Allstar Weekend. Since I haven't done a Tuney Tuesday post since May (sorry about that), I decided to do a more fun, upbeat, energetic song this week, as opposed to the inspiration songs I usually do. This song is basically about having a good time, even if there's no reason for it (ie: even if it's not your birthday, it's okay to go out, have fun, and have a good time). I would say that the lyrics themselves are pretty self-explanatory, and it's pretty clear from listening to them that this is a dance/party song. Even in the year 2013, I still love listening to this song to make me feel happy/pumped up (despite it being released in 2011).
Even though they aren't the most well-known boy band in the world, Allstar Weekend is still pretty awesome in my opinion. Unfortunately Allstar Weekend had their last show back in August, though I'm not entirely sure why. But, they did say that they are going to continue to create music in the future (even if it's not released under the name Allstar Weekend), which I'm really happy to hear because I really love the three songs of theirs that I have currently have on itunes (Not Your Birthday, Blame it on September, and Wanna Dance with Somebody).
