Hey guys! It's time again for another Follow Friday!!! :D
Question: What do you prefer: reading your favorite book over and over again until you got sick of it OR reading 100s of mediocre books? And why?
Answer: Wow, tough question yet again. At first I thought I would say reading my favorite book over and over again; but to be honest it's difficult for me to re-read a book even a second time because I always love a new adventure or even a new challenge, no matter how much I LOVED the book. So now I think I would have to say reading 100s of mediocre books. I tend to find myself reading some mediocre books every once in a while and then a gem pops up and really catches my eye. I also think that a lot of the books I read that I wouldn't necessarily rank at the top of my favorites list tend to be "diamonds in the rough" so to speak, if that makes sense ... like, I can't really say that I've ever read a "bad" book (and by a "bad" book I'm excluding textbooks and boring books I've had to read for school). And also when I pick out a book, even if it does turn out to be what some may call "mediocre," I think that's part of the fun of picking out a book to read ... I wouldn't say that it's like a blind pick, but you never really know what you're getting yourself into until you open the book up and start reading (even if you've read the back blurb on what the books about) ... at least that's how it is for me. :)
So yeah, in conclusion, I would say read 100s of mediocre books.
Forgive me if this sounds like gibberish at all; I've had a LONG LONG LONG day of classes, and I just finished my homework and I'm exhausted ... but I wanted to get this post up before I hit the hay Haha! :)
And the font is a little funky today because I accidentally messed it up when I posted the FF picture, so forgive me. :)
That's all for this Friday folks! Thanks for reading!!!! :D
