It's time for What's the Word? Weekend number thirty-two! :)
So let's take a look at this weekend's news:
The Bad News:
I didn't make the national team for taekwondo. I still don't know why, because I haven't asked. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't surprised, hurt, and confused about it. But as much as I like taekwondo and want to keep training, I'm trying to move on and focus on what are most important things for me to focus on: school and writing. Everything happens for a reason (ie hopefully this will now give me more time to write in my free time).
The Good News:
I'm pretty sure my story premise has changed since I last wrote a WWW, haha. But it is VERY similar to the last one I told you all about before Spring Break (ie it still has The Zebra Stripes influence in it). I think I've really picked the perfect story premise though, because I'm finally writing about what I'm good at writing about if that makes sense ... I think before I was trying to go too far out there in the sense of writing about a setting that I'm not comfortable with (but don't get me wrong, I think going outside your comfort zone is great, I think I've realized that for where I am write now with my writing abilities I can only go so far to be confident in myself and not want to change my story idea every other day).
So yeah, it's basically the same spiel I gave last time: the chapters are outlines, the characters have been created, the first chapter has been written (and I love what I've written so far), so yeah ... Let's do this!!! ZUMBA DANCE (the new codename) SHALL BE WRITTEN!!!!
In other news:
I don't think I really have any other news this week. I didn't do as well one of my midterms as I would have liked, so I'm definitely stressing out about that class. But I don't want to talk about it too much and jinx myself.
Well, that's all for this weekend folks! Until next time! :)
