Follow Me Friday #15

Hey guys!

It's time for Follow Friday numero quince !!! :D

So this week's question is:

Question: What is one thing you wish you could tell your favorite author?

Answer: Wow, awesome question!!! It's kinda like a two part question in disguise (who's your favorite author, and what would you say to him/her?) :)
Ummm ... Hmmmm ....
I think I would like to tell David Klass what a difference his writing has made in my life and my writing. The two books of his that I've read both contain abuse and/or violence, and while his portrayal of that is really strong, it's really the overall voice in both that gets to me. His books just really struck a chord with me, and for an eighth grader who wasn't really a big fan of reading during her free time (she'd rather be playing sports, sports, and more sports), that was HUGE for me. I'd like to tell him how much I love the voice of his first person POV, because it definitely has influenced the way that I write my first person stories today. I've read a lot of stories written in first person, but even though I didn't start writing until about a year ago, I honestly don't know if I would have found the first person voice that I have today without him. So .... I would say, THANKS MISTER KLASS FOR BEING AN AWESOME WRITER AND FOR INSPIRING ME TO FIND MY VOICE!!!! :D

Can't wait to read all of your answers!!!

Until Next Time Folks!!! I have some fun/exciting news to share for this weekend's WWW!!! :D

  4. {if i'm commenting i'm a follower}

    you should try reading {one child} and {the tigers child} by torey hayden. Its about a 6 year old girl {torey is her teacher} its real life experience etc. The little girl goes through a lot in her short 6 years of life and the older she gets the harder it gets. I think you might like it if you like books that speak abuse and violence. I have these and have read them a few times over.
