It's time for Tuney Tuesday number 19!!!! :D
Here are the rules:
Tuney Tuesdays is a weekly meme that Eileen at ***Singing and Reading in the Rain*** and I at J.A.Y.A.! host. It's really easy! Just:
- Once a week, on Tuesday, choose a song that you might be really into that particular week.
- Include a video/cover art for that single if there is one (or the button for Tuney Tuesdays that I've made up. I'll put it later in the post.)
- Include the lyrics
- Write what you like about it in a review. Or write a few sentences about how it inspires you. Or how it relates to a book that you've been reading.
- If you don't want to do your own song, you can use one of the songs that Eileen at ***Singing and Reading in the Rain*** or I have done for this week.
So the song I chose to do this week is The Queen by Lady Gaga. I first heard a glimpse of it when I happened to be watching the show Fashion Star. It's another AWESOME Lady Gaga song--I'm a huge fan of her music, and this is just another one of her songs that I absolutely love. It's a very inspiring message: inside of everyone there's the potential to be successful at whatever you want--and everyone can reach that potential if they work hard enough at it!
I really like that Lady Gaga is just herself when she's doing what she loves. Even though she's putting on a character every time she performs or goes out in public in an outfit that makes a statement, she inspires so many people with who she is and with her music. Though this song may be more focused towards other girls and young woman, there are SO MANY Gaga songs with powerful messages to her "little monsters," and I absolutely respect that and support all the hard work she does and has done.
Lady Gaga's music videos are also always different from others', which I can appreciate. Unfortunately this particular song of hers doesn't have an official music video, so I've just uploaded the audio video that was available on YouTube so that you all can still hear the song. Enjoy :)

Oh
Tonight I'm gonna show
Them what I'm made of, oh!
The killer queen inside me's
Coming to say "Hello!"
Oh
Tonight I will return
The fame and riches earned
With you I'd watch them all be burnt
Whoa-Oh, Whoa-Oh
Whenever I start feeling strong, I'm called a b**** in the night
But I don't need these 14-carat guns to win
I am a woman, I insist it's my life
I can be
The queen that's inside of me
This is my chance to release it
Be brave for you you'll see
I can be
The queen you need me to be
This is my chance to be the dance
I've dreamed it's happening
I can be the queen
I am wind and hurricane
The stormy sky and rain
When you run dry I'll flood your pain
Whoa-oh, Whoa-oh
In between the moments of
The lady I've become
A voice beats through the noise like drums
Rhomp-a-bump-a
Whenever I start feeling strong, I'm called a bitch in the night
But I don't need these 14-carat guns to win
I am a woman, I insist it's my life
I can be
The queen that's inside of me
This is my chance to release it
Be brave for you you'll see
I can be
The queen you need me to be
This is my chance to be the dance
I've dreamed it's happening
I can be the queen
The quee-ee-ee-ee-een
The que-ee-een
Quee-ee-een
Quee-ee-een
Starry night come inside me like never before
Don't forget me when I come crying to heaven's door
I will fly on a challenger across the sky
Like a phoenix so you can remind them of the dream I bore
Whoa-oh, Whoa-oh
Whoa-oh
Oh whoa-oh, Whoa-oh
Whoa-oh
Tonight I'm gonna show
Them what I'm made of, oh!

Also, a BIG thanks to Deidra over at A Storybook World for giving me my third blog award: Enchanting Entertainer Blog Award. I always feel so honored when I receive any awards for anyone. With this award, I love that Deirdra actually took the time to make the specific awards that she's handed out. Everyone should go stop by her fabulous blog sometime! :D

This is the first time I'm ever hearing about The Queen but that message about achieving anything you want to is really inspirational and after hearing it once, I can see it's really catchy. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Eileen. I thought the same thing when I first heard the song. :)
