What's the Word? Weekend #27

Hey guys!!!

It's time for What's the Word? Weekend number twenty-seven!  :)

So this week's news is:

The Bad News:
Thanksgiving break is over, which is sad because I felt like it was too short. :(
The plus side of that is I only have three more weeks left of the semester (and then I have like, a month and a half off for Christmas and Finals)! :)

The Good News:
I finally built up the courage to ask my creative writing teacher to help me with my novel, BOB. I just shot her an email asking if she could maybe take a look at it or if she had any advice for me. She's been very successful in the publishing industry, so she definitely knows what she's talking about. But I'm SCARED about what she's gonna reply back...will she look at it, will she think I'm not ready to publish a novel period, will she think BOB isn't a publishable novel...I'm really SCARED! She's a nice professor, she's just so accomplished that she can be intimidating, especially when she doesn't hold back, you know?
Please have your fingers crossed that she'll help me in some way! And that she'll like my novel!

In other news:
I'm sick ... again. I went to the gym during Thanksgiving break (it was the second day I went with my family), and as soon as I got off the treadmill my nose started running a lot. I think whoever used it before me didn't wipe it down afterward, and I got whatever germs they left on it (and since I'm a self-proclaimed "mild-germaphobe," I don't think my body took very well to that). It kind of stresses me out because I HAVE to start going to taekwondo more often if I want to test to get my green belt, but I don't know if I can go while I'm sick....but I literally haven't been to practice for weeks so I need to go...and AH! Fortunately I don't have practice until Wednesday, so maybe I'll feel a little better by then.
I also have an intern interview on December 15th (the day I go home for Winter Break). It's a pretty big deal because it's with a pretty big company, so I'm definitely going to be doing research over the next few weeks on the company (not to mention I'm going to have to do mock interviews and attend workshops and everything...).
So yeah, these next few weeks are going to be CRAZY!!! Hopefully the moving forward with BOB will help me feel better and keep moving forward in a positive way with everything else.

Well, that's all for this weekend folks! Until next time! :)

This is my year, this is my time, this is my now.

  1. I used to be in Tae Kwon Do when I was really little! Moved cities right after I got my blue belt :) Actually was able to skip yellow belt! (certified 2nd grad badass over here...) bahaha anyway, good luck with everything!!

    1. Haha, lucky! I've been a yellow belt for ... almost two years now? Haha, I've been so busy with school work, I haven't had time to test (since the end of my freshman fall semester).
      Thanks, Sara! :D
