It's time for Follow Friday Number 14 !!! :D
This week's question is:
Question: Have you had a character that disappointed you? One that you fell in love with and then "broke up" with later on in either the series or a stand-alone book? Tell us about him or her.
Answer: Hmmm ... I honestly don't think I've really had a character that's disappointed me in that way. I feel like the characters in the books I've read have pretty much always done what they were supposed to do (even if I didn't always agree with it, or I didn't see it coming), you know?
Haha, I'm a pretty forgiving person, so even with the characters I "fell in love with," I'm willing to forgive, even if I don't forget. ;)
But on a completely opposite note, I found that Jacob from the Twilight series started off as being a you know, cute kind of character in the first book. But then once he changed in the second book ... well ... that's when I was hit with Cupid's arrow (to go along with the love theme, Haha).
Can't wait to read all of your answers!!!!
Until next time folks (aka WWW)!!!!!!

I haven't read New Moon yet, but I've read Twilight. I didn't really enjoy it as much as you obviously have, but everybody has different opinions, right? I totally agree with you because many books these days have pretty decent characters in them that you can't really hate them! :)

Omg the art on your blog is beautiful! I really didn't like Jacob after the second book, I thought he was kind of a jerk lol. Team Edward all the way! Following you now :)

It's hard to find a character that changed enough to make me dislike them, though I have been disappointed by a few. Here is my FF: Mom Reads My Books

It's nice when you grow to love a character instead of dislike them :)

Hopping through. I've only read, like, 1/4 of New Moon, but I agree, Jacob was a cute character in Twilight.

I agree about Jacob, in the first book he was that cute little sidekick you feel a little "aww" towards, but then he just...got better ;) haha. HOWEVER, i do always wonder if it's because after the first book, I just didn't like Edward so much and felt he got worse as the series went. Sometimes I think as Edward went down, Jacob went up.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!

I'm actually the exact opposite - Very vengeful and unforgiving, but I can't remember any character that I *loved* and then fell out of love with. *shrugs*

Yeah, I'm not too forgiving either. I would want to give a second chance if it was something a little less bad, but if it was an unforgivable act I would be vengeful as well!

I've noticed a couple of comments about Twilight. I've never read it so I can't relate.

Glad for you that you didn't experience character disappointments. Some of us were pretty heartbroken :D

Very interesting answer! I guess the forgiving but not forgetting part works for all of us, we never really look at that character the same as we did the first time...
