Follow Me Friday #21

Hey guys!!!! :D

It's been a while since I've said this, but ....
It's time for Follow Friday (number twenty-one)!!!

Even though I'm still pretty busy (especially since I'm now in my junior year of college ... AHHH!!!), I'm gonna try to slowly but surely get my way back into blogging each week (and what better way to get back into it than with FF!!!)

So now, let's take a look at this week's question:

Question: What do you hope to accomplish with your blog? Is is to one day become an author yourself, just for fun, maybe get some online attention, or maybe something very different?

Answer: ... Wow, I probably couldn't have picked a better FF question for me to start back up on my blog with! :)
I named my blog J.A.Y.A. to show just that: a Journey of an Aspiring Young Author. I do hope to one day become an author--writing is such a strong passion of mine and huge part of who I am, that I honestly hope that I can become successful with it. I know that it's definitely a big dream to have, but I haven't given up on it, and I won't give up on it.
I think with my blog, it's kind of a combination of two of the suggestions listed: to one day become an author myself, and to have fun. I have SOOOO much fun writing my blog, reading and commenting on other people's blogs--I've really missed doing it, A LOT. It's a fun way to not only meet new people, but also connect to people who maybe have the same passion as you, or people who can introduce you to their hobbies and passions.
I do hope to accomplish my dream of becoming an author one day, and of course it'd be cool if some of my blogger friends were the first ones to find out that I finally got an agent or I finally got a publishing deal or were my book's first fans... that'd be really awesome. But more than that, I hope that my journey to becoming an author has a happy ending, and by documenting it every step of the way (minus my months-long hiatus) will allow other young writers to see that it is possible to become an author, no matter old you are ... you just have to be willing to put in the work, go through the ups and the downs (and downs and downs and downs), and never give up on your goal, because you can accomplish it.
Hopefully I can make other young writers (and people who have other big dreams) proud in accomplishing my goal which is also my dream.

I hope I wasn't rambling too much ... I'm a little rusty, haha.

That's all for this Friday folks!!!

  8. God, I SO know what you mean!
I think many author-to-be are tempted to do book blogging in the meantime, we're in love with books, it's sort of inevitable, right?

Old follower, hopping through. Have a great weekend!

  10. That's awesome! I want to be published myself one of these days, but it's a very hard time right now with paranormal being so hot. Agents don't want to look at my manuscript. But I keep trying, and writing my next book, although at a terrible writer's block right now! So I read for the meantime!

    Here's my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT weekend!

  11. Welcome back! I think we all need little breaks every now and then, even from the things we love and are passionate about.

I am already following you by GFC (but sadly, after changing to WP I no longer have GFC on my own blog.)

I hope your dreams of publishing come true!
