What's the Word? Weekend #21

Hey guys!!!

It's time for What's the Word? Weekend number twenty-one!  :)

I've been busy as ever with my junior year of college in full swing (junior year already? Ahhhh!!!!), but I'm going to try to get back into posting three times a week. This upcoming week is SUPER busy for me though, so I don't know what's gonna happen for this week.
Somehow through all the madness I've been able to write, which is always a plus! :D

But anyway, let's look at this weekend's news:

The Bad News:
No bad news this week. :)

The Good News:
I'm almost done with my fourth book, which we'll call BOB for now. This book is very important to me, and I'm really close to it, because it actually started out as a short story that I wrote almost a year ago for my creative writing class. Then I decided to expand it into a novel, and first started working on it May (but didn't touch it again until the end of August because my summer was so busy). To think that it's now at about 45,000 words, and I have a couple thousand more words to go is mind boggling to me! It's also been a roller coaster pretty much every time that I finish working on it for the day--the same doubt would creep into my head: that it isn't good enough, that no one will wanna read it, that I'm wasting my time, etc. ... and then I start outlining/working on a completely different book (but I'm always back to square one in thinking about BOB whenever I do). I'm always negative and hard on myself, so I've been forcing myself to finish what I've started with BOB, even if I decide not to do anything with it after I edit it.
So yeah, I'm really excited to almost be done with the first draft, and to get into the editing process when I have time between class, homework, tae kwon do, and tutoring. :)

In other news:
My knee is getting better! I injured it while I was sparring during tae kwon do a couple weeks ago, so I'm happy that I was able to spar yesterday without re-injuring it. It's still not 100%, but we have a tournament this coming weekend, and I REALLY want to spar in it, so as of now I'm gonna give it a shot.
I also started tutoring again, every Friday. I'm working with a third grade girl who's really smart and says that she wants to become a math teacher (because she says she wants a job "that makes a lot of money"). I absolutely love volunteering, and to have made a connection with her after only starting two weeks ago is awesome.
Well, that's all for this weekend folks! Until next time!!! :D
