Follow me Friday! #10

Hey guys!

It's time for Follow Friday number TEN (I'm finally in the double digits, haha)!!! :D

So let's take a look at this week's question:

Question: Do you read one book at a time or do you switch back and forth between two or more?

Answer: I usually only read one book at a time. I feel like it allows me to give all of my attention to the characters and plot of that one book; I personally don't get as into a book if I'm reading another one on the side ... I feel like I'm cheating on my book when I do that haha!
No but seriously, although I'm a pretty good multi-tasker, I'm impressed by everyone who can read more than one book at a time and still get just as into the books and their characters and what not.
I kind of relate it to how I write my books: I only write one book at a time, because otherwise, if I don't give one my undivided attention, I feel like I'm personally not getting the most out of it. Also, knowing me I would mix up the characters and the plots and where I wanted to go with the twists and turns and stuff like that.
Long story short, I get emotionally invested into the books I'm reading and/or writing, so I like to handle them one at a time. :)

I'm sure many of you AWESOME readers are going say back and forth between two books, and I envy that you can do that and still get a lot out of a book! I commend you for that, and maybe one day I will possess that skill too! :D

Alright, that's all for this Friday (err-Thursday) folks!!!!
Up next is What's the Word? Weekend, so PLEASE stay tuned!!!! :D

  2. Hahah I love the cheating reference. It really does feel like that! If you've got more than one book going (or relationship) you better be able to keep your facts straight!

  3. What a great answer!! I can usually separate two different books, as long as they're not similar in anyway...but I like what you said about cheating, I kinda feel that way too! I take notes on every thought I have, so when I am reading more than one that helps to keep them distinct in my head. :)

  5. Oh, man. I totally agree! That cheating part is classic, too. I guess I'm kind of guilty of that? Maybe I should ask my current read for an open relationship? *GULP*!

  8. Same here. I seldomly up to never read more than one book at a time. I might put one on hold and read something else first, but reading two or more books simultanously? Woaa!

  13. Hi, just hopping through!

Can I just say I love your layout!

I'm a one book at a time girl too - and I think I know what you mean when you say you feel like you're cheating on a book if you read more than one at a time, and the brain jumble than ensues!

    Happy Friday!

  14. If I'm very emotionally invested in a book then it gets to the point where I can't put it down, but most of the time I'll have a couple of books that I'm making my way through.
